About The Therapist

Patrick Thomas Cole, LCSW completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Arizona. He later completed his graduate studies at the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Social Work, receiving his Master of Social Work (MSW) degree.

Psychotherapy with Patrick Cole is focused on the whole person, both individually and within the context of his or her environment. He is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Colorado. Patrick offers empathy and compassion to every client, often incorporating Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Psychodynamic Theory and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT). He firmly believes in the potential of every client with whom he works, always attempting to maintain focus on current solutions and strengths, thereby reducing or eliminating the grip of repeating problems. He enjoys both group, and individual therapy, and works with ages 13 and older.

Patrick has found along the way that the partnership of therapy achieves surprising and lasting results. Together, he and his clients clear away the obstacles to potential, revealing opportunities for a more rewarding and effective life.

Patrick continues to develop his clinical skills by attending a variety of continuing education seminars and symposia across the country. He is the director of the adolescent program at Denver DBT and is a regular presenter on the topic at universities, mental health treatment programs/agencies/hospitals and professional organizations in the state of Colorado.

Patrick also works for Centura Health, as the Social Work Coordinator at Porter Hospital in Denver, Colorado, on the inpatient adult and geriatric psychiatric units. In this capacity, Patrick is responsible for the management/oversight of a team of social workers in the department of psychiatry. Additionally, Patrick has found it helpful to enhance his diagnostic awareness by working for the Emergency Psychiatric Assessment Team at Centura in Parker, CO, Littleton, CO and Denver, CO.
